I could NEVER travel alone. What if something goes wrong and I’m alone? The truth is, if you believe that you cannot do something, you absolutely cannot and will not do it! Dreams are dark ditches that you need to climb down to and overcome your worst fears in order to earn.
A very important Stoic exercise is projecting the worst-case scenario. It is a very cruel “trick”, but to be honest, practising it has helped me be emotionally prepared. That means that when things get hard, my mind is ready to focus on solutions, instead of swamped in emotions.
If you feel like giving up and that you’ve reached your limit, push some more. Because our brain tends to want to protect us, it wants to keep us within our comfort zone. It’s our duty, to ourselves, to exceed our perceived potential.
